Uplyft Capital is a small-business finance company founded in 2012 and based in Dania Beach, Florida. Its core product is the merchant cash advance (MCA): a lump sum today in exchange for a share of your future sales, collected as a percentage of card sales or as fixed daily or weekly debits. Per its site, it looks mainly at your deposits, accepts credit scores from 500 and can approve in as little as 24 hours (checked October 2026).

In this review we cover what it offers, the requirements it publishes, how repayment works, which numbers on its own site do not match, and what to ask before you sign. As an alternative, we recommend comparing with Merchant Fund Express, our recommended funder. We do not give ratings or scores: only facts you can verify and criteria you can use.

Key takeaways

  • Uplyft Capital focuses on the merchant cash advance, collected as a percentage of card sales or as daily or weekly ACH debits.
  • Its MCA page says it accepts credit scores from 500 and that applying does not affect your credit.
  • Its FAQ asks for at least 6 months in business and average deposits of at least $12,000 a month.
  • The amounts it publishes differ from page to page; get your offer in writing with the total payback figure.
  • Documents: 3 months of bank statements, a valid ID and a voided check.
  • If you qualify for an SBA loan, a bank loan or a line of credit, it will almost always cost less than any MCA.

What Uplyft Capital offers

Uplyft Capital presents itself as a fast-funding company for small businesses in every industry: restaurants, retail, construction, trucking, healthcare, auto shops and salons, among others. This is what its site lists (checked October 2026):

  • Merchant cash advance (MCA). Its core product. Repayment is a percentage of your card sales or a fixed daily or weekly debit from your bank account.
  • Other products it mentions: lines of credit, SBA loans, equipment financing, term loans, traditional bank loans, 401(k) retirement-fund financing, hard money real estate loans and disaster recovery loans.
  • Language: its site has a Spanish version, which helps if you would rather read the terms in Spanish.

One detail worth understanding: its FAQ page says Uplyft does not offer loans of any kind and focuses on cash advances, while other pages on its site list SBA, term and bank loans. If you are offered anything other than an MCA, ask which company actually signs the contract and sends you the money.

Requirements and documents it publishes

Uplyft publishes simple requirements for its cash advance. This is what appears on its site (checked October 2026):

CriteriaWhat Uplyft Capital publishes
Time in businessAt least 6 months (FAQ page)
Minimum depositsAverage of at least $12,000 a month (FAQ page)
CreditScores from 500 (MCA page)
Credit checkSays applying does not affect your credit and it does not run hard pulls
DocumentsLast 3 months of business bank statements, a valid ID and a voided check
CollateralIts MCA page says it does not require collateral or a personal guarantee
SpeedApproval in as little as 24 hours; funds usually within 24 hours after signing
ITIN acceptedNot published; ask before you apply

On the personal guarantee: even if the page says none is required, read the contract. Many cash advance contracts include an owner performance guarantee, which makes you personally responsible if you break certain clauses, such as switching bank accounts without notice. Ask exactly what the owner signs.

Amounts, terms and how repayment works

This is the part to review most carefully, because its site gives different numbers on different pages (checked October 2026):

  • Its MCA page mentions advances of $5,000 to $5,000,000, usually 10% to 250% of your average monthly sales.
  • A section of its homepage mentions $5,000 to $500,000.
  • Its FAQ page mentions $3,000 to $150,000.

Most likely, your real amount depends on your deposits, time in business and industry. Do not anchor on the highest number: get the offer in writing.

On terms, its FAQ lists four programs: Premier Plus at 2 to 12 months, Premier at 3 to 8 months, Standard at 2 to 7 months and Starter at 2 to 5 months. Its MCA page mentions typical windows of 3 to 18 months.

On cost, Uplyft explains that an advance does not use an interest rate but a fixed factor rate, which it publishes in a typical range of 1.10 to 1.50, and that the share it holds back from your sales usually runs 8% to 20%. Because the cost is fixed, paying early does not always save you money; its own page lists that among the downsides. Ask in writing for the total amount to be repaid, the daily or weekly payment, and whether there is any early-payment discount.

Uplyft Capital pros and cons

ProsCons
Flexible credit: from 500, per its MCA pagePublished amounts that do not match across its own pages
Light paperwork: 3 months of statements, ID and a voided checkRequires $12,000+ in average monthly deposits and 6 months in business
Fast decisions and funding, per its siteAn MCA costs more than a bank or SBA loan, as its own page admits
Collection by card-sales percentage or ACH, depending on the programDaily or weekly debits that can squeeze your cash flow
Site available in SpanishITIN acceptance not published

Uplyft also says on its site that taking a second advance from another company on top of the first is generally not recommended, because it multiplies the cost and the daily debits. We agree. If you already have an advance, first read our guide to second-position funding so you know what you are getting into.

What to ask before you sign

These questions work for Uplyft and for any cash advance. Get the answers in writing, in an email or in the contract, not just on a call:

  1. What is the total amount I will repay? This is the most important number; it is how you compare offers honestly.
  2. How much will you debit per day or per week, and starting when? Make sure your account can handle that debit even in a slow week.
  3. Do you collect a percentage of my sales or a fixed debit? With a percentage, the payment drops when sales drop; with a fixed debit, it does not unless you request an adjustment.
  4. What happens if my sales fall? Ask about the reconciliation or payment-adjustment process and how long it takes.
  5. Are there fees on top of the factor rate? For example origination, wire or returned-payment fees.
  6. Is there a discount if I repay early? With a fixed cost, there often is not.
  7. What does the owner sign personally? Read the performance guarantee clauses.

Honest comparison: Uplyft Capital vs. Merchant Fund Express

CriteriaUplyft Capital (per its site)Merchant Fund Express
AmountsDifferent figures by page: from $3,000 up to $5,000,000$5,000 to $5,000,000
CreditFrom 500From a 500 FICO; better credit and cash flow usually mean better offers
SpeedApproval in as little as 24 hoursDecisions often in 2–4 hours
What it reviewsDeposits and bank historySales and deposits, not just credit
CollateralSays none for its MCANot required in most cases
ITINNot publishedAccepts ITIN applicants, no SSN needed
SpanishSpanish version of its siteSpanish-speaking support
Credit impact of applyingSays noneFree to apply, no impact to credit

Both are fast-capital options and neither is the cheapest money on the market. The sensible move is to get two written offers, compare total payback, the daily or weekly payment and the term, and pick the one your cash flow can carry with room to spare.

Who Uplyft fits, and what else to look at

  • Can fit: businesses with at least 6 months of history, steady deposits above its published minimum and a specific, profitable need, such as buying inventory for peak season or covering an urgent repair.
  • Does not fit: businesses with very uneven sales, owners who already carry one or more advances, or anyone trying to cover ongoing losses. An advance does not fix a business that loses money every month.

Before any MCA, check whether you qualify for something cheaper. With good credit, history and time in business, an SBA loan or a bank line of credit almost always costs less. If you need speed, our recommendation is to compare with Merchant Fund Express: it reviews sales and deposits from a 500 FICO, often decides in 2–4 hours, accepts ITIN applicants and offers Spanish-speaking support. Applying is free and does not impact your credit: compare your offer here.

Frequently asked questions

Is Uplyft Capital legit?

It is a company operating since 2012, based in Florida, that publishes its requirements and how it collects on its site. Trust is confirmed by your contract: check the total payback figure, the daily or weekly payment, the owner guarantee clauses and which company signs. Compare at least one other offer before you accept.

What are Uplyft Capital's requirements?

Per its site, at least 6 months in business, average deposits of at least $12,000 a month and credit from 500. To apply it asks for your last 3 months of business bank statements, a valid ID and a voided check. Final amounts and terms depend on your bank history and industry.

Does Uplyft Capital hurt my credit?

Its site says applying does not affect your score and that it does not run hard credit pulls. Still, before you sign, ask whether any step involves a hard pull and whether it reports payments to credit bureaus. Keep that answer in writing with your offer.

Can I get an advance from Uplyft if I already have one?

Some companies allow it, but Uplyft itself says on its site that stacking a second advance from another company on top of the first is generally not recommended, because the daily debits and the cost add up. If you already have one, first look at lowering the payment or waiting until the balance is smaller.

What is a good alternative to Uplyft Capital?

If you qualify, an SBA loan or a bank line of credit usually costs less. If you need speed, we recommend comparing with Merchant Fund Express, which reviews sales and deposits from a 500 FICO, accepts ITIN applicants, offers Spanish-speaking support and does not affect your credit when you apply.
